Meaningful Films - new series 'No Place Like Home' launches with award-winning novelist Raynor Winn
We started filming interviews in 2019 for our series called No Place Like Home. The aim was to explore what home means to people from all walks of life. We met and talked with individuals who had become homeless for different reasons and who had been forced to find new accommodation and in some cases a new life.
During this filming we were commissioned by St. John’s Foundation to create a film about homelessness and its solutions in Bath and North East Somerset. After the screening of A Roof Over My Head in front of an audience of 500 people (followed by a Q&A with some of the leading charities in the South West dealing with the issues of homelessness) we have decided to release our series No Place Like Home over the coming months.
We are delighted to start the series with award winning novelist Raynor Winn who became a best-selling author with her book The Salt Path after losing her family home and discovering her husband had a terminal illness. With nothing more to lose, the couple bought a tent and set off on an incredible journey along the 630 miles of the South West Coast Path. This is their story:
