Joanna and Luke create films that have an impact and become a force for positive change.

They have created videos for a number of charitable clients including the St John’s Foundation, Get Into Theatre, Oasis Bath, Bluebird Care, Family Rights Group, Holocaust Memorial Day Trust and Andrews Charitable Trust.

Other projects have included a series about victims of homicide for Victim Support and a number of videos highlighting the work that housing association Curo does for it’s clients. More recently they’ve worked with various Almshouses. In 2019, Luke and Joanna created a documentary about homelessness in Bath and North East Somerset, working with charities across the county including Julian House, St Mungo’s, St Johns Foundation and Developing Health and Independence (DHI).

Luke made a short film called A Grave Matter which became the inspiration for a documentary called What Happens When You Die? The aim was to encourage people to talk more openly about death. It was screened to an audience of over 100 people followed by a Q&A session with someone from a local Death Café.

Joanna and Luke were commissioned by the St John’s Foundation to create a short documentary about homelessness in Bath and North East Somerset, called A Roof Over My Head, which was premiered at Komedia in Bath to an audience of 500 people.

In 2025 they premiered their own documentary Briefest Encounters which is currently on tour in the UK with Picturehouse Cinemas.

Take a look below at some of the films they have made.

Charity

City of Wells Almshouse Trust

There are five almshouse buildings in the City of Wells, providing 33 units of accommodation for older people in housing need. There is a mix of one-bedroom flats and cottages, on two sites on either side of Priest Row in the centre of the city. The earliest of the five almshouses was founded in the fifteenth century through a legacy provided from the estate of the former Bishop of Bath and Wells and Treasurer to King Henry IV, Nicholas Bubwith. Bubwith’s Almshouse is located next to St Cuthbert’s Churchyard and includes a chapel and Guild room.

We produced two films for the City of Wells Almshouse Trust, capturing both the character of the accommodation and the renovation of Bubwith Chapel.

The Blue House

Situated on a tranquil island in the centre of Frome, The Blue House is a historic almshouse offering comfortable, self-contained homes for older members of the community in need. With origins dating back to the 15th century and housed in a beautiful Grade I listed building from 1728, The Blue House blends heritage with a strong sense of community.

Comprising 17 charming flats surrounded by well-maintained riverside gardens, it offers independent living with the option to join communal activities in a shared common room.

The charity is overseen by a voluntary board of trustees and run day-to-day by a small, dedicated team. As a registered social landlord and charity, The Blue House continues its centuries-old mission of providing secure, affordable housing and companionship in a unique and historic setting.

To showcase the rich history and vibrant community of The Blue House, we've produced a short film that brings its story to life. We also created a fundraising video to help the Blue House raise £500,000 for essential repairs to the historic building.
